HAHA. I did it. I finished the Odyssey. After a while I have to say I got a lot better at active reading so I didn't really have to stop and write that much anymore, making it a LOT easier. In this last assignment, I really enjoyed the climax, with the whole bow and arrow murders by Ulysses. I feel like the suitors kinda got what they deserved, no? The end may have bothered me a little, but hey, overall, I enjoyed this book. A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't have said the same. What do you think?
That's all for this week, peace off!

Week of 12/1/11
Hey, December is here! Alright, so first off, I think the idea for class newspapers is an interesting and fun new assignment. I can't quite put my finger on it as to why, but it just is. For this week's reading, I found it went by a lot smoother, and I have to take less notes. I like how the two halves of the story have met in a way now, but are still in separate locations. The only major beef I have with it is the lack of transition from setting to setting. That is it for this week I guess, peace off!

Again, Sorry About Lateness.
Alright, so I am posting late once again. I am officially terrible at this... Anyway, a couple of things from this assignment. One, the reading for the past weeks was better than the last one once again. There seems to be more storytelling now as opposed to a dialogue heavy story. A good part was when Ulysses and crew had the meal where they sacrificed 2 lambs, and were visited by ghosts.
Next, NaNoWriMo. I finished! I finished a few days early and wrapped up my story like I wanted. This especially made me happy, as I thought it was going to be difficult to make my goal. That is all for these assignments, so peace off.

Dual Reading Update Of Madness!
Alright, so I didn't update last week, for lack of remembering. So now, I will catch up with two updates!! Ah the madness. So in books 2-4 of The Odyssey, I won't go as in depth. One of my major complaints about this section is that there is a lot of dialogue, and not much story. That makes it very difficult to keep reading, especially having to take notes on it. Other than that, I found it easier to keep track of characters. For books 5-7, the main story is that Ulysses is released from the island on which he is detained by Calypso. The gods, mainly Neptune and Calypso, fight over his journey back, making the journey as easy, or as difficult as possible. He finally arrives on a new land, worse for wear. After that, a lot more dialogue ensues. I enjoyed this reading the most of all because of the mix of story and dialogue.
That is all for this week, peace out.

NaNoWriMo Update
My NaNoWriMo is going well, and I am keeping up on my word count. It's hard to write my amount of words per day sometimes though.
